The term continuity refers to the history, geography, characters, and "world laws" (e.g. concerning things such as magic) of individual dreams. A continuity might include restrictions on what races may be played, what character classes exist, and what factions characters may belong to.
Many persona roleplayers have "personal" continuity, that is, a specific character background known only to them.
Though individual dream owners are encouraged to maintain their own continuities, Furcadia itself has a canon continuity, known as the Dragonlands. The rules for play within this setting are known as Furre!. Most main maps, specifically those intended for roleplay such as The Wylde, are set within this continuity.
